22 Effective Home Remedies For Vertigo

Vertigo is a feeling or sensation where it seems like you are spinning or things are spinning around you. The most common form of vertigo is benign positional vertigo also known as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

Vertigo could be accompanied with other symptoms such as tinnitus, nausea, temporary hearing loss, or vomiting.

Vertigo usually arises as a symptom of a disease or disorder and is actually different from nonspecific dizziness or lightheadedness.

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which is the most common form of vertigo, is caused by small pieces of calcium particles, called otoliths or canaliths, floating in the semicircular canals of the labyrinth of the inner ear. BPPV is most common in elderly people.

1. Valerian Root

To make the valerian drink, steep 1-2 tsp of the dried herb in a cup of water for 10-15 minutes, strain off and drink 2-3 times a day. Alternatively, take 2 tsp of valerian tincture every day for three weeks.

2. Drink Enough Water

When you’re dehydrated, less blood is supplied to your brain which can cause dizziness. Furthermore, your blood pressure can drop to the red zone.
